File Manager

Browse, upload, download, and manage files on your machines.

Open File Manager

1. Go to Machines
2. Click a machine
3. Click “Files” tab

Navigation

Directory Tree

Left panel shows directory tree:

• Click folder to expand
• Double-click to open
• Right-click for context menu

Breadcrumb

Top bar shows current path:

• Click any segment to navigate
• Type path directly in input

Quick Navigation

• Home - Go to home directory
• Root - Go to root
• Back - Previous directory

File Operations

Create

• New File - Click ”+” > “New File”
• New Folder - Click ”+” > “New Folder”

Upload

1. Click “Upload” button
2. Select files from computer
3. Choose destination folder
4. Track upload progress

Or drag and drop files directly.

Download

1. Select file(s)
2. Click “Download”
3. Files download to your computer

For folders, downloaded as ZIP.

Rename

1. Right-click file/folder
2. Select “Rename”
3. Enter new name
4. Press Enter

Delete

1. Select file(s)
2. Click “Delete” or press Delete
3. Confirm deletion

Copy/Move

1. Select file(s)
2. Right-click > “Copy” or “Cut”
3. Navigate to destination
4. Right-click > “Paste”

File Preview

Click a file to preview:

Supported Previews

• Text - Code, configs, logs
• Images - PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG
• Documents - PDF, markdown
• Media - Audio, video

Edit Files

For text files:

1. Click file to preview
2. Click “Edit”
3. Make changes
4. Click “Save”

Search

Find files:

1. Click search icon
2. Enter search term
3. Filter by type, date, size

View Options

List View

Detailed view with:

• Name
• Size
• Modified date
• Permissions

Grid View

Thumbnail view for:

• Quick visual browsing
• Image galleries

Hidden Files

Toggle hidden files visibility:

• Click eye icon in toolbar
• Or press Cmd/Ctrl + H
