Overview

FreeRide is a skill that configures OpenClaw to use free AI models from OpenRouter. It automatically ranks models by quality, configures fallbacks for rate-limit handling, and updates openclaw.json.

How It Works

When the user wants free AI, FreeRide runs the following steps in order:

1. Configures the best free model + fallbacks using freeride auto
2. Restarts the gateway so OpenClaw picks up the changes using openclaw gateway restart
